Description
Supports the healing of wounds and damaged skin.
Builds a breathable protective film that prevents the wound from drying out.
Creates optimal, moist wound healing conditions, which promote the natural healing process of the skin and reduces the risk of scarring.
Suitable for babies and damaged, irritated, dry or sensitive skin.
Free of fragrances, colorants, preservatives and animal derived substances.
Indications/Uses
Intended to support the healing of minor superficial wounds such as cuts, abrasions, scratches, 1st degree and smaller 2nd degree burns.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Hansaplast Wound Care Routine: 1. A clean and cleansed wound is the first step to an optimal healing. Cleanse wound with the Hansaplast Wound Spray to protect effectively from wound infections.
2. The second step is the protection of the wound from external influences like dirt and bacteria to enable an undisturbed healing. Cover wound with a plaster or sterile wound dressing from Hansaplast.
3. In a third step, help wound heal safe, fast and with a lower risk of scars. Apply Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment regularly until wound has healed completely.
Directions for use: Stop the bleeding.
Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin area.
Carefully apply a thin film one to two times per day. Make sure the opening of the tube does not get in contact with wound.
Repeat regularly until the healing is completed.
Can be used in any stage of the healing process.
If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster, dressing or compress. Change daily if not recommended otherwise by a doctor.
Contraindications
Do not use: on mucous membranes and in or near the eyes; in combination with other topical preparations in the same area; in combination with anionic surfactants, soap, oils, gels, etc.; in case of known allergies to any of the ingredients; in case of an allergic reaction stop using Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment; continuously for more than 30 days; Do not swallow.
Special Precautions
In case of larger wounds with heavy exudate or signs of infection a doctor should be consulted.
In case of burns, contact a doctor in case of doubts to determine the severity of the burn.
For external use only.
If redness, swelling or pain develops at the wound area, the condition gets worse or the wound healing process does not start within several days a doctor should be consulted.
In case of pregnant or breastfeeding women, consult a doctor before use.
Do not use in combination with condoms out of latex as Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment can reduce the tear strength and therefore the safety of condom.

Side Effects
It cannot be excluded that in some rare cases a skin irritation or a rash occurs during usage. If patient observes such a reaction or in case of other symptoms, discontinue use and consult a physician.
If patient observes unexpected or potentially serious symptoms following the usage of this product, please inform a doctor or pharmacist, the manufacturer and the national health authority.
Storage
Keep the instructions as long as patient is using the product. Store between 5°C - 30°C in the original packaging. Close tube after usage.
Only use undamaged tubes.
Use within 6 months after opening.
